Judge Rafael Lasala has ordered the Provincial Brigade of Zaragoza to identify "the person dressed in civilian clothes" who on the night of April 18, 2021 coordinated the transfer of the leader of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, to the San Pedro Hospital in Logroño .

In an official letter, to which Europa Press has had access, the lawyer of the Court in charge of the investigations related to the entry into Spain of the Saharawi politician has gone to the Zaragoza airport to indicate who was the service officer who controlled that night the air base.

The intention is for said officer to testify as a witness before the Provincial Brigade of Zaragoza to identify "the person dressed in civilian clothes who gave him instructions on the access of the ambulance from Logroño."

The decision of the head of the Court of Instruction Number 7 of Zaragoza takes place after the health workers who treated Ghali revealed that a person wearing the Air Force uniform "possibly with the rank of officer" and another person from civilian who was the one who "seemed to lead" the military.

It was the statement of the ambulance driver that revealed that the health workers were required to provide their personal documentation by the military.

The plainclothes man, for his part, "gave the guidelines to locate" the vehicle "on the airport runway and coordinate the transfer from the plane."

The judge is now trying to determine who it was.

He asks if he notified the deputy director of operations

As a result of the proceedings, the court has asked the chief commissioner of the Special Commission of the General Council of the Judiciary, the Supreme Court and the National Court to indicate whether the information they obtain from the different units of the judicial police is kept in a data file.

In turn, it has required to know if after receiving reports from the different Information, Judicial and/or Border Police Stations -and before they are sent to the jurisdictional bodies- these texts "are brought to the knowledge of the deputy operational director (DAO ) of the National Police".

It has also demanded that it be clarified if there is any "identification and location requirement of an individual named Brahim Ghali or Gali Sidi Mohamed Abdel Yelil, especially during the years 2020 and 2021" in its databases.

And he has asked to be informed of the identity of the officials who requested and had access to said data.

The head of the Court investigates the entry into Spain of the leader of the Polisario Front since he entered the country on a medicalized plane from Algeria without going through border or documentation controls.

At the beginning of March, the instructor agreed to file the former chief of staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Camilo Villarino, but considered it pertinent to maintain the condition of being investigated for former minister Arancha González Laya.
