  Tuberculosis is one of the major infectious diseases in my country. According to the statistics of the World Health Organization, my country is one of the 22 countries with a high burden of tuberculosis in the world.

At the same time, Qinghai Province is one of the provinces with the highest incidence of tuberculosis in the country, and the incidence rate previously ranked third in the country.

  The Qinghai Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that at present, more than 80% of the TB patients registered in Qinghai Province are farmers and herdsmen, mainly young adults.

  It is reported that in 2021, Qinghai Province will screen 20,978 suspected tuberculosis patients for free, and report 5,066 tuberculosis patients, with a reported incidence rate of 83/100,000, a successful treatment rate of 96%, and a drug resistance screening rate of 97% in high-risk groups.

The above-mentioned incidence rate has decreased compared with 2020 (94/100,000), and has been on a downward trend for three consecutive years, and the prevention and control work has achieved remarkable results.

  According to the person in charge of the relevant departments of the Qinghai Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in recent years, Qinghai Province has insisted on reducing the risk of tuberculosis as an important task to solve people's livelihood problems. To increase the reimbursement ratio of medical insurance and other aspects, do everything possible to intensify the prevention and control work, and minimize the harm caused by tuberculosis to the production and life of people of all ethnic groups.

Comprehensively implement the physical examination for new students, strengthen the treatment and management of close contacts of tuberculosis patients, and prevent the occurrence of clustered epidemics on campus.

  In addition, Qinghai Province has carried out all-round and multi-dimensional publicity work, which has promoted the formation of a good social atmosphere in which the general public actively supports, pays attention to and participates in tuberculosis prevention and control.

  In 2022, Qinghai Province will focus on strengthening the prevention and control of TB in agricultural and pastoral areas in accordance with the goals of the national TB prevention and control plan, and on the basis of comprehensively doing a good job in TB prevention and control.
