3rd-term lawmaker Park Hong-geun, Lee Jae-myung-gye, was elected as the new Democratic Party floor leader.

Park's new floor leader put his fighting power to the fore, saying he would fight against political retaliation and the tyranny of the prosecution.

The Democratic Party's new floor leader election, which was held in the form of a conclave to elect the Pope, continued until the third round of voting.

As expected, two lawmakers, Jae-myung Lee Park Hong-geun and Nak-yeon Lee Park Gwang-on, who were mentioned as two sides, entered the runoff voting.

The number of votes was not disclosed.

The three-term new floor leader, Park Won-soon, is from the former Park Won-soon, and has quickly emerged as a close aide in the presidential election as Lee Jae-myung, candidate's chief of staff.

It is interpreted that the election of the 'non-mainstream' floor leader Park instead of the pro-moon candidate, who is the largest party in the party, reflects expectations for the competitiveness of the standing adviser Lee Jae-myung, who lost the presidential election but played a close match.

"We will stop the investigation into the persecution of President Moon Jae-in and permanent adviser Lee Jae-myung, and we will complete the prosecution and media reform," Park said.

I will definitely protect President Moon Jae-in and permanent adviser Lee Jae-myung.]

However, the April supplementary budget said that it would actively negotiate with the power of the people to resolve the urgent issue of people's livelihood.

It is analyzed that the level of checks and pressures on the new government will increase with the emergence of a new 172-seat opposition party that claims to have a strong fighting power.

A fierce confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties is expected as they are trying to verify the government organization law next month and at the National Assembly personnel hearings for prime minister and minister candidates.
