The election for the new Democratic Party leader has been narrowed down to a four-way battle.

As a result of the first round of voting for the floor leader election at the National Assembly held at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 24th, the Democratic Party selected four candidates for the second round of voting, including Park Kwang-on, Park Hong-geun, Park Hong-geun, Lee Won-wook, and Choi Kang-wook.

The percentage of each candidate's first round of votes was not disclosed.

The first round of voting was conducted without a separate candidate, and if no one got 2/3 of the votes, a second round of voting will be held for the lawmakers who got 10% or more of the votes.

Among the lawmakers who published the floor plan, Rep. Park Kwang-on, Park Hong-geun, and Lee Won-wook passed the first round of voting.

In addition, Rep. Choi Kang-wook, a former member of the Open Democratic Party, who did not express his intention to run for office, was also selected as a candidate for the second round with more than 10% of the votes.

In the second round of voting held after the announcement of the candidates' views, the person who receives a majority of votes is elected as the floor leader.

If there is no majority of the votes, the 1st and 2nd place in the second round of voting will vote in a runoff, and the person with the most votes is elected.
