G7 = The summit of the seven major countries will soon begin in Belgium.

As President Biden of the United States and Prime Minister Kishida of Japan mention new sanctions against Russia, the focus will be on how far the pressure on Russia can be strengthened by uniting as the G7 at the conference.

In the 24th and one month since Russia's military invasion of Ukraine began, a face-to-face meeting by G7 leaders will be held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, after 10 pm Japan time. ..



Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will attend the conference, partly online, following the NATO summit.



Prior to this meeting, a high-ranking government official from Germany, the chair of the G7, said at a meeting on the 23rd, "We would like to emphasize that we will strengthen sanctions as necessary," and increased pressure on Russia and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. And so on are expected to be on the agenda.



It also means that we are coordinating to publish the outcome document of the summit.



US President Joe Biden, who will attend the meeting, will announce new sanctions against Russia during his visit, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will also express his intention to implement new sanctions.



At the conference, the focus will be on how much we can unite as the G7 and increase the pressure on Russia.
