- By giving the participants basic knowledge of Swedish nature, we want to create an interest and commitment that in turn will lead to them choosing to become so-called nature observers and engage in government-run programs and activities that monitor animals and plants according to proven methodology, says project manager Nicklas Jansson, biologist at the County Administrative Board of Östergötland in a press release.

Last year, more than 1,200 participants signed up for the training and the purpose of the project is to increase the public's interest and knowledge about plants and animals.

-We want it to be both the young and above all families with children.

That we get to be with children and young people from the very beginning to become interested in nature, Nicklas Jansson continues.
