20,000 people are said to have fled Ukraine to Sweden since the war broke out.

A figure Migration Minister Ygeman considers credible:

- There are 20,000 that we have registered so far.

There is a dark figure, but there are quite big benefits to signing up so I think it's pretty close to the truth.

It can be a couple of thousand more but not more than that, he says in SVT's 30 minutes.

Assessments of how many more refugees may come to Sweden in particular are made on the basis of how many fled the war in the former Yugoslavia and in Syria.

- If the same number flee the war in Ukraine if the war is prolonged, then it is about 30 percent of the population.

This is a total of 12-13 million, as Ukraine has 44 million inhabitants.

How many of them apply to Sweden is much harder to see, but we will take our share.
