An urgent special meeting of the United Nations General Assembly began on the 23rd at the UN Headquarters General Assembly in New York, USA, over a resolution calling for an improvement in the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

The resolution regrets the dire humanitarian situation brought about by Russia, and calls for the immediate suspension of hostilities, the protection of citizens and private institutions, and the security of humanitarian assistance. I am.

Representatives from each country made a speech before the vote, and at the beginning, UN Ambassador to Ukraine Kyslyza said, "It will be one month tomorrow 24 days after the life of Ukrainians changed from a peaceful past to the present death and destruction. The humanitarian situation has worsened due to the war by Russia, and people have starved to death in the occupied areas and have been killed even if they try to escape, "he accused Russia and called on countries to support the resolution.

In response, Russia's UN Ambassador to the United Nations, Nevenja, reiterated his previous allegations that civilians would not attack in military operations, and strongly opposed that "this resolution is an anti-Russian political show."

At the meeting, the resolution will be passed after about 70 countries have made speeches.

On the 2nd of this month, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution condemning Russia and calling for the immediate withdrawal of troops in favor of 141 of the 193 UN member states, strongly impressing Russia's international isolation.

Western countries are aiming to adopt this resolution with more approval than the previous one, and would like to further increase the pressure on Russia.
