The Polish anti-espionage service ABW announced today, Wednesday, the identification of 45 Russian diplomats suspected of spying for their country.

"The internal intelligence agency has prepared a list of 45 people, who were working in Poland under the cover of diplomatic activities, carrying out espionage activities directed against Poland," said Stanislaw Zarin, a spokesman for the agency.

He explained that the list had been submitted to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting - via Twitter - that the anti-espionage service was asking "to expel them from Polish territory."

Zarin also announced the accusation of spying for Russia to a Polish working in the archives department in the Warsaw municipality.

Bloomberg reported that the man was allegedly passing on valuable documents relating to Poles and foreigners living in the country to Russians.
