China News Service, March 23 (Meng Xiangjun) US President Biden's words caused an uproar, and the chain effect continued!

On March 16, local time, when answering questions, Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin a "war criminal" for the first time.

The Russian side strongly protested this, saying that "the president of the country that has been bombing people all over the world for many years has no right to do so (calling Putin)."

On the 21st local time, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the US ambassador to Russia Sullivan to protest Biden's remarks against Putin, warning the other party that Russia-US relations are on the verge of "broken"!

Biden attacks Putin twice

White House Secretary: This is the voice of the heart

According to foreign media reports, on the 16th, Biden was questioned by reporters at the White House. A Fox News Channel reporter asked whether Putin was a”war criminal”. Biden initially said no and walked away, but then returned to the reporter and changed his mouth to say that he thought Putin is a "war criminal".

White House press secretary Psaki said at the briefing that Biden's remarks reflected his "voice."

However, Psaki also pointed out that the US State Department is still conducting a legal review of Russia's military operations in Ukraine to study whether Russia constitutes a "war crime."

CNN analyzed that the change in the Biden administration’s attitude occurred after Ukrainian President Zelensky delivered a speech to the US Congress via video.

Previously, U.S. officials, including President Biden, have avoided using "war crimes" to describe Russia's military operations.

Data map: On June 16, 2021 local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Biden met in Geneva, Switzerland.

"Russia Today" also disclosed that the next day, Biden slammed Putin again at the St. Patrick's Day luncheon.

Not only that, Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov called on European leaders to follow Biden's lead and called Putin a "war criminal".

Earlier, British Foreign Secretary Truss also made similar comments.

However, experts have warned that the use of the language is likely to further escalate diplomatic tensions between Russia and the West, the BBC reported.

The Kremlin criticized Biden's remarks:

Putin has wisdom, vision and education

In response to Biden's remarks on the 16th, the Kremlin responded that as the head of state of the United States, Biden's remarks were "unacceptable and inexcusable."

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov was asked by reporters whether the Kremlin believed that Biden's statement was a sign of severing Russia-U.S. diplomatic relations, and why Putin did not respond.

"Our president is a very wise, visionary and educated politician of international level," Peskov told reporters.

"These comments from Mr. Biden ... are absolutely intolerable, unacceptable and unforgivable. Above all, a president of a country that has bombed people all over the world for years has no right to do so," he noted.

Peskov also reminded that the United States dropped an atomic bomb on "a country that has been defeated" (Japan), which is meaningless, not to mention that hundreds of thousands of people around the world have died from American bombs.

On March 15, Russia announced sanctions against 13 U.S. citizens, including President Biden, Secretary of State Blinken, and Defense Secretary Austin.

Prior to this, Putin himself, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other senior Russian government officials were sanctioned by the United States and the West to freeze assets.

On the 21st, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that it summoned the US ambassador to Russia Sullivan to protest Biden's recent unacceptable remarks against Putin, and submitted a protest note to the US ambassador.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said such remarks by the U.S. president are not in line with the status of such a high-level politician and "put U.S.-Russian relations on the brink of rupture."

Russia warned the U.S. that hostile actions against Russia "will be met with firm and resolute counterattacks."

Senior Russian officials exposed Biden's old affairs:

"Who are the war criminals"?

Recently, Roscosmos President Dmitry Rogozin posted a video on social platforms and wrote: "Maybe, Biden should be reminded who is a war criminal?"

Roggo subsidized the video of Biden promoting air strikes on the Yugoslavia in the U.S. Senate in his early years.

The video is an old image of Biden, which records his active promotion of the bombing of the Yugoslav coalition proposal at the U.S. Senate hearing.

With a pen and glasses, Biden vigorously suggested air strikes in Belgrade, destroying the bridge over the Drina River, and "suggested to cut off the (FRY) oil supply" and "take special action."

The Russian Satellite News Agency also released the video.

Rogozin concluded that: Biden "should remember ... the thousands of civilians he 'killed'."

Data map: Serbian people commemorate the victims of the NATO bombing of the Yugoslavia.

In 1999, the US-led NATO military dispatched more than a thousand fighter jets to bomb the Yugoslav alliance for 78 days.

Serbian government data shows that 3,500 to 4,000 people in Serbia were killed and about 10,000 injured in NATO's "allied" operations; property losses amounted to US$100 billion.

In this war, Russia's last hard-core ally in Eastern Europe was defeated.

As NATO celebrated its 50th anniversary, an angry Russia was absent from a NATO summit and at one point closed its military liaison office in Moscow and expelled its employees.

This is the starting point for a turning point in the relationship between the two sides.

Years later, Serbian President Vucic said Serbia would not join NATO, bearing in mind the 1999 aggression.

He pointed out that maintaining peace and stability is very important.

Serbian Foreign Minister Vulin also said that Biden's remarks are an insult to Russia and normal thinking. "A country that stifled international law in 1999 has no right to invoke the law in 2022."

Foreign media disclosed:

US hawks call for 'getting rid of' Putin

A number of foreign media said that the American Republican hawks again called for the need to "get rid of" Putin by any means.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham told reporters in Washington on the 15th, "I think the world would be a better place without Putin -- the sooner the better, and I don't care how we do it."

U.S. Senator Graham talks about "Assassination of Putin" again.

"I hope he (Putin) will be eliminated in some way." "I don't care how they take him away, I don't care if we send him to The Hague to try." Graham said.

According to reports, Graham believes that the assassination of Putin is the "ideal choice" to remove the Russian president, and he made an appeal.

On March 3, he also posted on Twitter that he hoped that someone in Russia would do this: "Does Russia have Brutus (the senator who assassinated Caesar)? There are more successful ones in the Russian army. Colonel Stauffenberg (failed to assassinate Hitler)?"

The US congressman also supports a "no-fly zone" in Ukraine.

Because of such remarks, Graham has faced double opposition from Washington and Moscow officials.

Yet again, Graham preached that view.

He also previously proposed a motion with a group of senators, demanding that Putin be held accountable for "war crimes" over Russia's actions in Ukraine.
