His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, affirmed the UAE's keenness to strengthen relations of joint cooperation with Paraguay and friendly Latin American countries in all fields.
This came when His Highness received the Vice President of the Republic of Paraguay, Hugo Velasquez, at Expo 2020 Dubai.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Paraguay, and ways of enhancing prospects for joint cooperation in various fields.
The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, in addition to regional and international developments.
His Highness and Hugo Velasquez reviewed the participation of the friendly Republic of Paraguay in the "Dubai Expo", and the role of this prominent global event in promoting international cooperation to support global economic recovery and achieve sustainable development in societies.
For his part, Velasquez praised the excellent organization of the "Dubai Expo", stressing the promising opportunities offered by this global event to all participating countries, in order to enhance their development plans at various levels.
He expressed his country's aspiration to strengthen relations of joint cooperation with the UAE in all fields, praising the leading position that the country enjoys at the regional and international levels.
