The cherry trees at the town hall in Malmö have just blossomed.

It is spring but the mood in the crowd is marked by sadness.

A couple of hundred people have gathered for a minute of silence for the two teachers who were murdered at Malmö Latin School the night before.

- It is a brutal act you never think, could never happen.

It is with great sadness that my and others' thoughts go to the victims, their loved ones, the staff and the students at the school, said the chairman of the municipal board Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh (S), to SVT Nyheter Skåne on Tuesday afternoon, and continued:

- There is support to be had and you should not hesitate to ask for help if you feel sad and anxious.

How will the students be able to go back to school after what happened there?

- It is a terrible situation and that is precisely why there is support and it must also be allowed to be there for as long as they need, said Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh (S), chairman of the municipal board in Malmö.
