Mohamed bin Zayed and the Egyptian President discuss bilateral relations and developments in the region and the world

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, discussed yesterday various aspects of bilateral relations and ways to advance and push them forward for the benefit of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The two sides also reviewed, during their meeting in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh, issues and files of common concern, and the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, and exchanged views on them.

The discussions touched on the situation in the Arab region and the importance of strengthening Arab solidarity in the face of common challenges, in light of the rapid developments and transformations in the region and the world.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the strength of the brotherly relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt at all levels, and the bonds of love, appreciation and mutual respect that bind them, and the common desire to move forward towards further development and development of these relations.

His Highness also stressed that sisterly Egypt is a cornerstone of Arab security and its pivotal role within the system of joint Arab action in general, and its efforts are appreciated, pointing to the UAE's keenness to continuously consult with it on everything that promotes common interests and achieves stability, security and peace in the region.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to the Egyptian President for the kind reception and hospitality he received during the visit.

For his part, President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his country and among his family, expressing his pride in the close historical relations that bind the UAE and Egypt and their joint work in facing the challenges that threaten the stability and security of the region.

He also affirmed Egypt's keenness to strengthen its relations with the UAE and develop them in various fields, in addition to the importance of intensifying the pace of bilateral meetings between senior officials from the two countries on a regular basis to coordinate actively and mutually towards the successive developments witnessed by the region and the world.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed the consensus of the two countries’ visions regarding dealing with many files and issues of common interest, in addition to strengthening Emirati-Egyptian cooperation and coordination in a way that contributes to the development of the joint Arab action system.
