Following the crash of a passenger plane carrying 132 passengers and crew in southern China, Prime Minister Kishida sent a message of sympathy to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

In this, Prime Minister Kishida said, "We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the victims on behalf of the Government of Japan and the people in response to the news that a tragic accident has occurred."



He added, "I know that your country is working hard on search activities. I sincerely hope that the search will progress as soon as possible under the strong leadership of the Chinese leadership."
