It was yesterday that two female teachers were killed in a serious violent crime at a school in Malmö.

An 18-year-old man, who is also a student at the school, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

- Mine, and I think the thoughts of the entire Swedish people, naturally go to the families who are affected, says Magdalena Andersson (S).

During the morning, she spoke with the school principal.

- I have expressed my, the government's and the Swedish people's support in this situation.

"Important to practice for different situations"

The attack is the third notable act of violence at a school in Skåne, just in the last year.

Is safety in Swedish schools good?

- It is of course something you need to discuss, says Magdalena Andersson (S).

- It is important that you find space to practice different situations, so that you know how to act if the worst happens.

She also believes that more resources are needed for the police and social services.

- So that you can catch people long before an act like this occurs.

"Goes straight into the heart"

Magdalena Andersson (S) urges the importance of talking to children today about what happened.

- When it happens at a school, it goes straight to the heart, around Sweden.

It is probably important today to take a little extra time to talk to the children, whether it is their own children, grandchildren or students, she says.
