Early on Monday morning, a family woke up at Norrliden in Kalmar when a window was smashed.
When the resident looked out into the apartment, a masked burglar was standing inside the patio door.
The perpetrator then fled the scene without taking anything with him.
- She (the resident) was shocked and the children began to cry, says Anders Olsson, on-duty preliminary investigation leader at the police.
Police conducted a crime scene investigation, no person has been suspected or arrested for the incident.
Should take golf clubs - was threatened
At four o'clock last night, a man who was to pick up his golf clubs in the basement storage in central Kalmar was also surprised by suspected burglars.
Then they pull some kind of baton.
- He says that he "just has to pick up his golf clubs" and leaves the place.
Did he bring the golf clubs?
- Yes, he got it.
Afterwards, he realizes that it was a pretty nasty situation.
No person is suspected or arrested for that incident.
It is unclear if anything was stolen.
The police see no clear connection between the two attempted burglaries.
