The 1,800-tonne barge with 245 beds has been used as a hotel in Sundsvall since 2017, but now she will return to her quay in Gothenburg, where she has previously stayed for 20 years.

Inspected and ready

Peder Larsson, who previously worked as a sea captain, was on site to inspect and monitor the towing.

 - They were here with icebreakers and made sure that the barge gets ahead and they just cross the bridge so there is open water all over the Baltic Sea.

Hear Peder Larsson in the clip and see when the hotel barge leaves the quay.
