On Wednesday, a 3-year-old boy died in Quet-en-Beaumont, in Isère, after being hit by a pick-up.

The driver, a worker who worked on a nearby construction site, had been taken into custody.

, the 55-year-old man was released late Thursday afternoon.

In a state of shock, he was taken to hospital in Grenoble the morning of the same day.

Playing in front of his house

On the day of the tragedy, the young victim was in front of his house.

She was playing on private land when the 50-year-old stepped back on her.

The driver said he did not see the child.

The boy was immediately brought home, where his parents and siblings were.

A cardiac massage had been lavished on him while waiting for help.

Despite the intervention of the latter, the little boy did not survive.
