Unusually sunny March in Skåne - record within reach

- In Lund, we have had 150 hours of sunshine between 1 and 20 March.

The normal value for the whole of March is 135 hours, says Deana Bajic, meteorologist at SVT.

And even during the coming week, many hours of sunshine await.

According to Deana Bajic, the following week may be a little colder, but there will still be high pressure.

It may rain a little on occasional days.

But despite that, the Scanian record of 210 hours of sunshine in March is within reach.

- If you look at the forecasts, we may break the record this year, she says.

"Can affect agriculture and groundwater"

But even if it feels good to enjoy the sun, the dry and sunny weather can have some negative consequences.

- It is drier than normal, which can have a negative effect on both agriculture and groundwater, says Deana Bajic.
