(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) 121 New Coronary Pneumonia Cases in Taiwan
China News Agency, Taipei, March 20. Taiwan's "epidemic epidemic command center" announced on the 20th that 121 new cases of new coronary pneumonia were added, including 118 imported cases and 3 local cases. The Chiayi wedding banquet cluster infection case expanded again.
According to reports from Taiwan media such as Central News Agency and United News, 2 of the new local cases are related to the Chiayi wedding banquet cluster case, respectively from Chiayi County and Taipei City; the other one is from Tainan and was diagnosed during the isolation period.
According to the statistics of the "command center", there are currently 209 people participating in the wedding banquet in Chiayi. The nucleic acid test has not yet been completed, and a total of 6 people have been diagnosed.
The new Taipei case that day was the first confirmed case outside of Chiayi, and the case also went to a hot pot restaurant in New Taipei for dinner.
In addition, a primary school principal who was diagnosed in the case recently attended a thousand-person dinner party. At present, the local health department has tested more than 1,400 people for nucleic acid, and no new confirmed cases have been found.
Taiwan has recently had a large number of imported cases from abroad. It announced on the 19th that 120 new cases were added, which was the day with the largest number of imported cases since the outbreak of the epidemic.
On the 20th, another 118 new imported cases were announced, from Vietnam, Indonesia, the United States, the Philippines and other countries and regions.
Up to now, a total of 21,905 new coronary pneumonia cases have been confirmed in Taiwan, including 15,503 local cases and 853 deaths.
