Big scare on Saturday evening for a crew of Loire-Atlantique firefighters.

Around 8:30 p.m., the emergency services were called for a violent accident on the Vannes-Nantes dual carriageway, near the town of Saint-Etienne-de-Montluc.

The car is on the roof and three victims, slightly injured are counted.

It was then that another car traveling at high speed struck the victim assistance vehicle of the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis).

Three firefighters were inside at the time of the impact.

Strongly shaken, they were taken to Nantes University Hospital.

They are, luckily, only slightly injured.

The car involved was abandoned at the scene.

Its occupants fled on foot.

An investigation has been opened by the police.
