A famous Ukrainian actress was killed in a Russian missile attack on Kyiv
The famous Ukrainian actress Oksana Shvets was killed in a Russian missile attack on an apartment building in Kyiv, according to CNN.
The Young Theater - a Ukrainian theater group it has been a part of since 1980 - announced the death of star Oksana Shvets last Thursday.
The theater, in a statement posted on its Facebook page, expressed its irreparable sadness at Schwitz's death.
"The killing of Ukrainian artist Oksana Shvets during a missile attack on an apartment building in Kyiv... is a bright memory of the talented actress. There is no forgiveness for the enemy who has reached our land," the group wrote in the statement.
The English-language Kyiv Post also reported on Oksana Shvets' death, saying on Twitter that "she was killed in Kyiv during the war".
According to the Young Theatre, Oksana Shvets studied theater at the Even Franco Theater and the Kyiv State Institute of Theater Arts before embarking on a long artistic career.
