7-year-old minor
was hospitalized yesterday Friday
in serious condition
after suffering a near drowning in a water park located in the municipality of Mogán, in the south of Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1 -two.
The event occurred
minutes before half past two in the afternoon
, when the 112 operating room received an alert informing that a minor had suffered an incomplete drowning in an aquatic park, for which the Cecoes immediately activated necessary emergency resources.
Personnel from an ambulance and a medicalized helicopter from the SUC, together with a doctor and a nurse from the Health Center in the area, assessed and assisted the minor, who was initially treated by a doctor at the aquatic facility itself.
Once stabilized, the affected was transferred to a hospital.
Firefighters, Civil Protection and Local Police officers ensured the landing and takeoff maneuvers of the helicopter, which landed in an area near the water park, and collaborated with health personnel.
The Civil Guard intervened in the device deployed in the area.
