Yesterday (18th), the transition committee conducted a field trip to the candidate sites, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense, regarding one of the key promises of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, 'the relocation of the presidential office'.

[Kwon Young-se / Vice Chairman of the Presidential Transition Committee: Whether the business continuity (Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) can be maintained without interruption, then the cost issue and whether it is convenient for our people should be looked at in general.

] Considering the issues, there is virtually no alternative other than the Ministry of National Defense,” he explained.

Park Joo-seon, chairman of the inauguration ceremony preparation committee, said that there would be no talk of not keeping the promise with a delay of a month or two during the review process, leaving the possibility of relocation after the inauguration ceremony open.

A meeting between President Moon Jae-in and President-elect Yoon is also expected to take place soon.

Yesterday, when President-elect Yoon publicly suggested that we meet soon, saying, "It is for the people," Yoon-elect also said, "We are communicating closely based on mutual trust."

While the two sides are negotiating behind the scenes, considering the burden on both sides of the failure of the meeting, the possibility of a meeting early next week is gaining weight.
