President-candidate Emmanuel Macron presented his program for 2022 on Thursday, and it is already being criticized.

The reform of the RSA wanted by the outgoing president, with "a better balance of rights and duties" and "the obligation to devote 15 to 20 hours a week" to an activity facilitating professional integration, is particularly reacting.

Several unions have denounced the philosophy of such a reform.

“This consists in saying – as for the deprived of jobs – that those who are unemployed, those who benefit from the RSA, do it for pleasure”, criticized the secretary general of the CGT, Philippe Martinez, on RTL.

“The poorest must be accompanied”

“We have to find a job for them, a job that corresponds to their qualifications with a decent salary.

There we make those who have difficulties in life feel guilty, as if it were their fault or a personal choice, ”he continued.

Same story for Laurent Escure, his counterpart from Unsa, who expressed on Twitter his "profound disagreement with Mr. Macron's project".

“The poorest must be supported, not suspected or punished.

Training should be offered, not imposed,” he said.

At the end of September 2021, the number of RSA beneficiaries was estimated at 1.91 million households.
