So far, 208 unaccompanied refugee children have come from Ukraine to Sweden, according to figures from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

- We see how the situation is in Ukraine and we must now prepare for the arrival of children.

Then it's not just about children with parents but also unaccompanied children, says Åsa Marklund.

Experiences from the refugee wave in 2015 show that the need for family homes can be great.

"Will help the children who come"

It is difficult to assess how many children come to Umeå.

It can be both about spontaneously arriving children, but also municipality-directed by the Migration Board.

- We will help the children who come.

We are looking for more people who are interested in being a family home for Ukrainian children.

Feel free to contact us, says Åsa Marklund.
