Voting intentions in the first round of the 2022 presidential election

This week, Marine Le Pen is progressing in most polls.

According to

Harris-Interactive

, the candidate of the Rassemblement National would increase to 19.5% of voting intentions in the first round against 18.5% on March 7.

The increase is also recorded on the side of the

Elabe

Institute , where the candidate would increase to 18% of voting intentions on March 16 against 15% on March 8.

All the institutes presented here confirm its second place in the voting intentions.

The outgoing president, Emmanuel Macron, maintains his considerable lead which had strengthened towards the end of February against the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine.

Thus, the candidate of La République En Marche would gather 30% of the voting intentions according to the

Opinion Way institute.

Same observation at

Ifop-Fiducial

which places it in the lead with 31% of voting intentions.

For his part Eric Zemmour would fall little by little in the voting intentions if we are to believe the statements of

Harris-Interactive.

According to the institute, the far-right candidate would have gone from 15% of voting intentions at the end of February to 11% of voting intentions this week.

Same observation for the candidate Les Républicains, Valérie Pécresse, who caps at only 10.5% of the voting intentions, still according to

Harris-Interactive

.

The candidate of La France Insoumise, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, meanwhile, has recorded a certain rise in the polls.

According to the

Elabe

Institute in particular, the candidate would now have 14% of the voting intentions against 10.5% exactly a month ago.

Second round hypothesis: Emmanuel Macron against Jean-Luc Mélenchon

Regarding Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the latest statement from the

Harris-Interractive

Institute shows a positive dynamic in the event of a duel between the two candidates for the second round of the election.

Thus the institute places it at 36% of voting intentions against 33% last week.

The

and

Ifop-Fiducial

institutes  place it at 33.5% and 35% of voting intentions respectively.

The gap therefore remains considerable between the two candidates.
