Now you can get rid of the scrap car for free - Nordanstig municipality is campaigning

- As far as possible, we will pick up vehicles.

We will have a dialogue with our politicians if there is a need to increase the budget, says Helena Malmkvist, technical administrator, Nordanstig municipality.

From free to thousand kroner

If a private person submits a complete scrap car directly to Välsta bildemontering, it is free.

But if essential parts are missing, such as the engine, it costs SEK 1,000 to have the car scrapped.

The municipality does this to create security and well-being.

- You can not have as many cars as you like on your farm, because then it will be a neglected plot, says Helena Malmkvist.
