In Alsace, a call for witnesses launched after the death of a cyclist

The drama happened early this Friday morning.

A cyclist died in Raedersheim (Haut-Rhin) on the RD430, in the Mulhouse-Guebwiller direction, while he was probably on his way to work, reports

.

The alert was given by motorists who found the body of a man lying next to his bicycle.

The victim succumbed to his injuries before the arrival of help, a priori after being hit by a car or a truck.

An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the death.

The Soultz gendarmerie brigade has also launched an appeal for witnesses to anyone likely to provide useful information to the investigation.
