7 million people benefit from the "Red Crescent" Ramadan programs in 6 Yemeni governorates

About 7 million and 35,000 people benefit from the UAE Red Crescent Ramadan programs in six Yemeni governorates, including Shabwa, Hadramawt, Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Aden and Socotra Island. In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.

The directives of the wise leadership are part of the humanitarian and development efforts undertaken by the UAE to improve life and alleviate suffering on the Yemeni arena. They also come to meet the needs of the brothers in Yemen during the blessed month of Ramadan, and to enhance areas of food security, in light of the current conditions in Yemen.

The Secretary-General of the Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Muhammad Ateeq Al-Falahi, said that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reflect the importance of the humanitarian situation in Yemen and its position in the priorities of the UAE leadership, which has taken a unique approach to giving towards Yemen. He added that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan enhance the humanitarian and development role of the Emirates Red Crescent in Yemen, and enable it to provide the best services to the Yemeni brothers in all fields, stand by them and work to improve their conditions, noting that the authority was able, thanks to His Highness' support for its programs, to: Achieving many humanitarian and developmental gains on the Yemeni arena.

Al-Falahi said that the authority immediately began implementing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to provide the requirements of Ramadan, and to deliver them to the targeted in their areas of residence in the concerned governorates well before the holy month.

The Secretary-General of the Red Crescent stressed that the authority is continuing to enhance its efforts and initiatives in Yemen, by adopting more projects and programs that serve large sectors of the brotherly Yemeni people, contribute to achieving the desired development, and restore life to what it was before.

It is noteworthy that the Red Crescent Ramadan Meer includes necessary and basic food items that meet the needs of beneficiary families throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
