Last night, the municipality received a request from the Swedish Migration Board to receive refugees in temporary accommodation.

A day later, it is now clear that you can receive 100 refugees - already this weekend.

- We really want to give the refugees as good and safe a reception as possible and that they can land in peace and quiet, says Linda Larsson, head of the Department of Individual and Family Care.

The municipality has worked intensively since the question came from the Swedish Migration Board.

Lessons from the refugee wave in 2015 have proved valuable in activating temporary accommodation at the campsite in Byske in a short time.

There are many who have worked hard and want to contribute, but it is clear that it is a challenge, says Patrik Nilsson, head of security, Skellefteå municipality and continues:

- The basic needs with a roof over your head and food are solved before the weekend.
