Banking city Frankfurt, airport Frankfurt ... but fashion city?

No for a long time, then yes, then not again – and now it is.

After important events were first lured from Berlin to Frankfurt and then back from Frankfurt to Berlin, the local trade fair company and the local business development agency are now thinking about their own strength and want to organize a fashion week from June 20th to 26th.

Let's see how it goes.

In any case, a little more glamor would do the Main metropolis good.

An arena for concerts at the Waldstadion could also bring glamor to the city, just imagine which world stars would give guest performances there.

The idea, which became known on Wednesday, of ending the dispute in the Römer about the location of the hall - Kaiserlei or airport - by agreeing on a new, third place, certainly has something to do with it and received some praise on Thursday.

If the going gets tough, Rhein-Main will even get two halls, because the investors who previously wanted to build at the airport are now looking around in the surrounding area, according to their own statements.

However, it is doubtful whether the market will be sufficient for two of these not cheap houses.

Fashion, great concerts... what's missing?

For example excellent universities.

If it comes true, as the Hessian Ministry of Science and the 14 universities in the state agreed on Thursday, students will be striving towards a downright golden age.

The number of academic staff is to increase by 30 percent by 2025 compared to 2018, with an average of 61 students instead of 72 per professor.

This is how studying is fun.

And when the youngsters have learned very quickly, they can also dress up in fashion in the evening and jet off to the concert at the Waldstadion.

I wish you a pleasant evening

The tip for the weekend

Anyone who enjoys excellent, perfectly prepared meat should definitely visit "Die Sattlerei".

The restaurant on the outskirts of Darmstadt on Kranichsteiner Straße is housed in a rider's tavern of the Kranichstein estate - and is a very good steakhouse.

The offer is concentrated and intelligently structured;

The menu features meat from America, Canada, Argentina and Ireland in various cuts, which can be roasted alone or in a spice coat.

The quality is outstanding, as are the burgers and side dishes.
