A spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard defended the missile bombing of Erbil, the largest city in Iraqi Kurdistan at dawn last Sunday, and stressed that his country had the right to strike Israeli headquarters that target its security, while the Iraqi region demanded a comprehensive investigation into the Iranian bombing.

The Iranian spokesman added that Israel admitted targeting one of the Revolutionary Guard bases through rallies it launched from Erbil, stressing that "Iraq's failure to deal with these headquarters and their threat to our security will be met with a response without hesitation."

For his part, Hakim Al-Zamili, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, confirmed during the session that the fact-finding committee has procedures through international forums regarding the bombing of Erbil, stressing that it collects documents and data for this purpose, noting that “Iraq has good relations with Iran, as it helped us in the war.” against the Islamic State, but that does not mean that it is attacking us."

He expressed his refusal "that there be any intelligence agency or any foreign country operating in Iraq and threatening neighboring countries," noting that "the results of the investigation of the fact-finding committee will be satisfactory, and its details will be revealed within the House of Representatives, and it will be referred to the government, which will have a pause in its actions against this threat."
