Hundreds of people are reported to have been killed when Russian troops invading Ukraine bombed a theater in Mariupol, where children and civilians were evacuated.
Armistice negotiations are still in the fog.

Looking down from the sky, the white letters 'Children' are clearly visible on both sides of the building of the Mariupol Theater.
The Russians bombarded the building with high-powered bombs without hesitation, and the theater was completely destroyed.
At the time of the bombing, 1,300 people, including children and women, were evacuated inside the theater, and 130 people were rescued, CNN reported.
At least hundreds of civilians are estimated to have been killed in the bombing.
Ukrainian disaster authorities say they are trying to rescue survivors from the wreckage of the Mariupol Theater, but the fire continues and the operation is impossible.

outskirts of Harikiu in northeastern Ukraine, villages and schools were also bombarded, killing 21 people and injuring 25 others.
One American also died in Chernivu, CNN reported.
The United Nations Office for Human Rights said the Russian invasion killed 780 civilians in Ukraine, including 58 children.
More than 1,200 people were injured.
More than 7,000 Russian soldiers were killed, the New York Times reported, citing US intelligence officials.
On the 22nd day of the Russian invasion, peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine continue, but they still have not been able to narrow their position.
