Regarding support for Ukraine, Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi has announced that he will provide additional binoculars and lighting equipment, and that some of the relief supplies will be carried by US military transport aircraft.

At the request of the Ukrainian government, the government plans to provide the SDF's defense equipment and supplies such as bulletproof vests and helmets, as well as winter clothing and emergency food.



Minister of Defense Kishi told reporters that the C2 transport plane, which departed from the Air Self-Defense Force Miho Air Base in Tottori Prefecture as the second flight on the 10th of this month, arrived in neighboring Poland on the afternoon of the 14th of Japan time and sent to the Ukrainian government. He explained that he had handed over the bulletproof waistcoat and helmet.



In addition, Minister Kishi announced that as a result of coordination with the Ukrainian government, he will provide additional binoculars, lighting equipment, and medical equipment.



He also clarified that some of the relief supplies will be carried by US military transport aircraft, and emphasized that he will make efforts to provide them promptly by utilizing civilian aircraft.
