Formally, the body that was recently found has not yet been identified via teeth, fingerprints or DNA.

But the police are so sure that it is the missing woman that they did not even ask for priority to get a quick answer.

- This is in line with the signal element and we have no other missing persons in the area.

The relatives are also completely convinced that it is she, says Niklas Lindström.

Test drive distances

The suspect's information during questioning has been checked as far as possible.

Distances have been tested and the police have investigated both surveillance videos and how his phone has been connected to various masts.

- He has collaborated and answered questions all the time.

Some may have seemed a bit illogical and difficult to digest.

But life is not always completely logical.

Where we have been able to check what he has said, it has been true, says Niklas Lindström.

According to him, the place where the body was found has been absolutely decisive for the decision to defecate the man.

- Yes, if the meeting place had been different, there could still have been a possibility that he was involved after all.

Then we would not have been able to exclude him.

But here there was simply no time for him to commit the crime and make sure she ended up where she was later found, he concludes.

Proven innocent

Both the head of the investigation and prosecutor Lars Johansson's view is that it has actually been proven that the man did not have anything to do with the woman's death.

It is most likely that the woman either had an accident or that death was self-inflicted.

No other person is suspected.

Nevertheless, the investigation continues with the heading murder.

- It is only based on the fact that we can not completely rule out that she has been the victim of a crime, says Niklas Lindström.

He and his colleagues have received an oral report and a preliminary autopsy statement from a forensic doctor.

Some analysis remains, but there is not much to suggest crime at the moment.

- The most likely is that no one else will be suspected, says Niklas Lindström.
