Park Joo-seon, former vice-chairman of the National Assembly, who was appointed as the chairman of the preparatory committee for the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, was a lawyer and served four terms in Honam alone.

He has been nicknamed 'Phoenix' and 'Phoenix' because he recovers every time despite the political and judicial ordeal of '4th arrest, 4th acquittal'.

After passing the 16th bar exam in 1974, he served as the chief of the special division of the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office and the chief prosecutor's office in the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.

The turning point in his life was serving as the Blue House legal secretary in the Kim Dae-jung government.

In that way, he stepped into politics and was elected in the 16th general election in 2000 (Boseong, Hwasun, Jeollanam-do).

In the 17th general election in 2004, he ran as an independent and was defeated, but in the 18th general election in 2008, he moved to Gwangju Dong-gu and was re-elected with the highest percentage of votes in the country.

In the 19th general election in 2012, he suffered political ups and downs, including being elected as an independent after being involved in the 'suicide case of a former headmaster' in the constituency district.

He was arrested in 1999 in the Otlobi case, in the Nara Jongeum case in 2000, and in the Hyundai E&C slush fund case in 2004, but all were acquitted.

He was also arrested in the case of a 'community meeting' in 2012, but was acquitted of the charge.

However, a fine of 800,000 won was confirmed on other charges, and he maintained his office as a member of the National Assembly.

He left the New Politics and Democracy Coalition in the 19th National Assembly and moved to the People's Party and in the 20th National Assembly to the Bareun Mirae Party, serving as the Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly and the first co-chair of the Bareun Mirae Party.

Ahead of the 21st general election, he founded the Minsaeng Party with many high-ranking lawmakers in Honam, but was defeated in the general election.

Former Vice-Chairman Park served as the co-chair of the People's Power Election Commission in December of last year, ahead of the March 9 presidential election, and helped elected Yoon Seok-yeol.

He also served as the chairperson of the East-West Reconciliation Future Committee and supported President-elect Yoon's 'Seojin Strategy'.

He publicly supported Yoon-elect from the process of the People's Power presidential primary.
