Loud explosions have been heard in central Kyiv on Tuesday morning, several media outlets report.

According to the news agency Reuters, shortly after 5 o'clock, what is described as a missile was seen in the air, followed by a powerful light and a loud bang.

It is still unclear if anything was hit or if the object was shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
