The light backpack lay casually on the seat next to him.
However, it contained a precious cargo.
During a check carried out on Monday at the start of the afternoon on a train stopping at Matabiau station in Toulouse, a patrol, supported by the border police, discovered in the luggage of a 29-year-old traveler 178 grams of cocaine.
Which, according to the estimate of the investigators, represents a market value of around 15,000 euros on resale.
Always in custody
The suspect, who had taken the train from Bordeaux to Marseille to stay there for ten days, claimed that the backpack did not belong to him.
But he could not explain why he was traveling without any luggage.
Unknown to the police, the young man was still in custody on Tuesday at the central police station.
