A Ukrainian brother and sister, who went to Italy to escape the war, finished their first school safely in the warm welcome of all students.

On the 14th local time, foreign media such as US Newsweek reported that Ukrainian siblings who had left their homeland to escape the Russian invasion started schooling in Italy.

According to reports, a special transfer student visited a public school in Naples, Italy last week.

The protagonists are 10-year-old Dmitry and 8-year-old Victoria, who risked their lives to escape Ukraine.

When the Ukrainian siblings entered the school's front door, over 200 students from all the students clapped and cheered in unison.

The inside of the school was decorated in sky blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and some students vigorously waved their own Ukrainian flag.

At the warm welcome from their Italian friends, the siblings looked around in bewilderment.

The applause for the siblings lasted for about 20 seconds, and the two representative students headed to the classroom, holding each brother's hand.

The video of the Ukrainian siblings going to school for the first time spread quickly on social media and surpassed 5.7 million views in two days.

Netizens who saw the video responded, "It warms my heart", "Children are delivering hope even in a tragic situation", and "I hope many refugees are welcomed like that."

Meanwhile, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the number of refugees who have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries since the Russian invasion on the 24th of last month exceeded 2.8 million as of the 14th.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimates that more than 1 million children have fled during this period.
