The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, in coordination with its main partners, announced the protocol for the return of the activity of fasting breakfast tents, which will enter into force with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 2022.

This comes in line with the state's strategy to preserve the health and safety of society, in light of the continuation of various activities, and in support of national efforts to achieve sustainable recovery, and the return of a new normal life to the state.

The protocol stipulated the importance of obtaining prior permits to set up fasting breakfast tents, which are issued by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, bearing in mind that the local committees and teams for emergency, crisis and disaster management in each emirate have the authority to approve the establishment of these tents, allocate the allowed numbers for one tent, and specify Places of tents for fasting fasting people, in coordination with the «Red Crescent».

The protocol also included the obligation to design tents in the form of a canopy that is open from all sides or air-conditioned, in line with the rise in temperatures, provided that the tent carries all the required safety and protection systems.

The protocol confirmed that the capacity of the fasting breakfast tents is determined by the local committees and teams for each emirate, provided that the physical distance of one meter between people is adhered to, while ensuring the provision of security guards or volunteers to organize the entry and exit process, in addition to providing posters for all entrances and exits, avoiding handshakes and sufficiency Greetings and peace from afar.

The protocol clarified that the opening of the tents to receive fasting people takes place two hours before the time of breakfast (the call to prayer), to avoid congestion, with the mandatory application of the green traffic system according to each emirate when entering the tents for fasting fasting, and the organizers of the tents or those working in them are obligated to provide masks and sterilization tools in the tents, in addition. To direct people to adhere to all precautionary and preventive measures, such as wearing masks, physical distancing, and constantly sterilizing hands.

The protocol touched on the mandatory use of single-use tablecloths, stressing the importance of adhering to a distance of one meter between people when sitting at the table, and stated that it is recommended and preferred to use single-use plates, cups and spoons for each individual.

The authority noted that all measures announced in the current national protocol are subject to modification based on the global and local health situation, and called on community members to cooperate and adhere to all preventive measures to confront the "Covid-19" virus, to preserve the gains of recovery and coexistence that the UAE has reached today.
