Algerian star and Manchester City player, Riyad Mahrez, stressed the importance of the topics covered by "Expo 2020 Dubai", and their role in making people happy, noting that he learned the ABCs of football and the arts of the round witch on the street, which he described as a "school".

He considered his country's match with Cameroon very difficult and fateful for both parties.

"We want to qualify and make the Algerian public happy, we have to work and perform better... and the match is an opportunity for us to appear in the way our fans are used to," he said.

This came during the hosting of the "Expo Dubai", in partnership with Cisco, the Arab star, via a live broadcast from Manchester, using Cisco Webex technology and holograms.

Mahrez expressed his happiness to participate in the World Expo from a distance, in light of his inability to move to Dubai, due to his intensive sports program in the British Championship, the European Champions League, and also near the end of "Expo 2020 Dubai", which coincides with the fateful match of the Algerian national team against Cameroon, qualifying for the World Cup.

The direct interview was an opportunity for fans and fans of the Algerian star, and a number of players from football schools in Dubai, to ask their questions to Mahrez.

The meeting was also attended by the Commissioner-General of the Algeria Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Mokhtar Attar.

On the most important things he loves about football, Mahrez indicated that it brings together friends during private friendly matches, pointing to his love for playing on the beaches during holidays with friends.

In response to the audience's questions, which centered on his sports career, Mahrez stressed that reaching a high level in football requires perseverance and not rushing to reap results, advising students of football schools to focus on the technical side a lot with the need for continuous practice.

And about his beginnings with the round witch, he said, “The beginning was from the streets of the city of Marseille, located in the south of France, from the street I started, and from it I learned the ABCs of football.

I love playing in the streets a lot, and I consider it a real school that produces the most prominent and famous players in the world.”

Riyad Mahrez:
