The Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) was evacuated this Saturday after the stabbing of two women in the building, located in the heart of Manhattan, police sources reported.

The two women, who remain

"in stable condition"

, were transferred to nearby Bellevue Hospital, a spokesman for the New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to AFp.

According to the NBC network, the injuries are not life-threatening for the women.
