The Sweden Democrats' group leader in Kungsbacka, Carita Boulwén, is pleased that the proposal has now been hammered through.

- Working with children and the elderly should not be an integration project, she says.

Center critical

The Center Party voted against the proposal and counters that today there are no real problems with language difficulties in municipal activities.

- When hiring, language skills are already checked today, we believe that this raises the bar even more in a situation where it is already difficult to recruit staff, says Fredrik Hansson (C), municipal councilor in Kungsbacka.
