On Wednesday, the Grasse court sentenced two Niçois, one 30 years old and another 27 years old, to, respectively, five and two and a half years in prison.
On August 25, 2019, they attacked a Bahraini ambassador, his wife and two daughters aged 10 and 14, as they returned to their rented villa near Vallauris, in the Alpes-Maritimes, driving of a Mercedes, also rented.

, the first individual sprayed the family with tear gas and hit the driver.
He then fled with his accomplices with the ambassador's watch, estimated at 150,000 euros, as well as his wife's handbag.
During the hearing, he indicated that he was “the main culprit” and that “the others [were] there for nothing”, reports the local daily.
One of the other two suspects was released.
