Saudi blogger Raif Badawi has been released, reports the BBC. Badawi was jailed in 2012 and later sentenced to 1,000 lashes and ten years in prison. The blogger was accused of "insulting Islam". Sweden has previously marked strongly against imprisonment and corporal punishment. In 2015, the then Foreign Minister Margot Wallström called the punishment "medieval", which made Saudi Arabia call home its ambassador from Sweden.
