A final performance before a long curtain closing.
The poetic piece
Coeur instantment dénudé
by Lazare will already be, this Friday evening, the last of the season played at the Grand T. It will be the same for the next two seasons.
Established in the Saint-Donatien district in Nantes for 40 years, the 850-seat performance hall, specializing in the dissemination of theatre, will indeed undergo major work with the aim of integrating the departmental association Musique et Danse on its site. .
The grouping will lead to big changes.
New offices, a dance studio, an information and documentation center as well as a sound-video studio will be added to the current equipment.
The architectural project also consists of enhancing the garden and creating a large promenade covered by a wooden structure.
Programming outside the walls
The construction site should start next July and be completed by the end of 2024 at the earliest.
In the meantime, the programming of the Grand T will continue outside the walls in partnership with other rooms.
The rapprochement with Music and Dance should allow "to open the place to new actors", to "encourage meetings between spectators and artists" and to "stimulate creation".
