China News Service, March 10 (Xinhua) According to a comprehensive report, on March 10, local time, Russia said that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba began talks in Antalya, Turkey.

This is the first meeting between Russian and Ukrainian high-level officials since Russia launched a special military operation against Ukraine on February 24.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu met with Kurleba and Lavrov respectively.

Kuleba said on the 9th that "there is not much expectation", but the Russian side believes that this meeting can start "basic negotiations" between Russia and Ukraine.

Previously, around the tension between Russia and Ukraine, Russia and Ukraine sent delegations to conduct three rounds of negotiations in Belarus, but no substantive results were reached.

Ukraine demanded that Russia take the lead in a ceasefire and withdraw Russian troops in Ukraine and Crimea and Donbass.

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed three conditions: recognition of Russia's sovereignty over Crimea; Ukraine's "demilitarization" and "denazification"; Ukraine's guarantee of neutrality.
