In the plenary session of the House of Representatives, disaster prevention helmets have been installed in all seats for five years in case of disasters such as earthquakes.
After the plenary session held on the afternoon of the 10th, members of the Diet were trained to actually wear helmets.
The training was the first time since the House of Representatives election last year, and some members of the Diet took time to assemble the helmet and confirmed it with the Diet staff.
Mr. Hosoda, the chairman of the House of Representatives, said, "I don't know when a disaster will occur, so if I feel a strong shake during the plenary session, I want you to act calmly."
