On the occasion of the official visit of American Vice-President Kamala Harris to Poland, who came to confirm American support for the allies on the eastern flank of NATO, Polish President Andrzej Duda had very strong words.
"
We cannot tolerate military actions that have the characteristics of genocide
", he said during a joint press conference with Kamala Harris, "
we must save Ukraine and remain united
", he said. he added, therefore calling for more sanctions against Russia.

Poland had earlier welcomed the US embargo on Russian gas and oil.
A message of unity between the United States and Poland is what Kamala Harris and the Polish leaders wanted to show.
“The
relationship between the United States and Poland is stronger than ever
,” declared Mateusz Morawiecki, the Prime Minister, underlining the need to strengthen NATO's eastern flank.

We
are completely united on many subjects, in particular Ukraine
,” assured Kamala Harris for her part at the start of her meeting with the Prime Minister.
A visit during which was also discussed a subject of friction, that of the Polish Mig-29 planes claimed by Ukraine.

as a responsible member of NATO, we handed them over to the Alliance
," indicated the Polish President, regarding a shipment of these warplanes to Ukraine, Andrzej Duda declared: "
